Tryout Dates/ Times

Capital Volleyball Club (CVBC) will be holding tryouts on the dates of April 29 and 30 for the 2025 Beach Program. Athletes, both BOYS & GIRLS, currently in grades 6 to 12 may tryout. Players are required to attend at least one tryout session.  Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to tryout time to check-in and get ready.

The season will run from May to August. Fee includes court rentals, coaching fees, insurance and administrative fees for the club. Any memberships to AAU, AVP or USAV will be paid by the player. (If they played indoor volleyball, some of these memberships can be used for beach volleyball as well) Any tournament registrations and fees are not included and will be up to the player. How many and how often athletes compete in tournaments is determined by the player and their family. Most regional tournaments cost between $60 and $100 per team. 

Advanced Group training program: $950

Intermediate Group training program: $750 

what to bring and wear to tryouts

1. Comfortable athletic clothing that you are okay getting sandy. Please note, white clothing can get stained by the sand

2. Complete the CVBC tryout registration form.  Cost is $15

3. Water and sunscreen

4. Shoes are knee pads are NOT needed

What Happens After Tryouts?

CVBC coaches will evaluate each prospective player during the tryout process.  Every player that attends a tryout will receive an email to let them know if they are or are not being offered a spot.  Offers will be made by email, within 24 hours of our final tryout.  

Committing to a team is a big decision and we want you to be happy with your choice.  Should you have any questions regarding the offer or team, please reach out to us.  Once you’ve made a decision, we ask that you promptly reply to your email offer to officially accept or decline the offer.  If you decline, we’d like to be able to offer the spot to another player in a timely manner.
